FAQs about Bedding

How to choose the right queen duvet cover?

Three things, in order: fabric, size confirmation, and the duvet inside. Pick the fabric your skin will like (percale crisp, sateen silky, flannel warm). Confirm your bed is queen size (152 cm wide, the US/Canada/Australia standard) and that the duvet inside is queen-sized too.

A queen duvet cover is the visible layer on your bed and the bit your skin presses against all night. The cotton matters more than people think.

What size is a queen duvet cover?

Our queen duvet covers are sized to fit standard queen mattresses (152×203 cm) with generous drape on all sides. The cover accommodates standard queen duvets without bunching, with internal corner ties to keep the duvet aligned through the night.

Is a queen duvet cover the same in the US, Canada, and Australia?

Yes. The queen mattress is roughly 152×203 cm in all three markets, and our queen size duvet cover fits the standard. UK sizing is different: a UK king is closer to a North American queen, so check before ordering if you're shopping from outside North America or Australia.

How do I pick between percale, sateen, and flannel queen duvet covers?

Percale is crisp and cool, the everyday workhorse for warm sleepers. Sateen is silky and slightly warmer, the closest at-home feel to a hotel bed. Flannel is brushed cotton, the one to reach for when winter sets in.

A queen duvet cover is the layer your body presses against all night. Pick by climate first, then by colour.

Where are Marshmellow luxury queen duvet covers made?

Every queen duvet cover is woven and sewn in Portugal, in the same Lintexport mill we've been running since 1967. That continuity is why the cotton softens with each wash instead of thinning, and why our seams hold for years.

How do I care for a queen duvet cover?

Wash warm (30-40°C) with mild detergent. Skip bleach and fabric softener, since softener coats the cotton and reduces breathability. Tumble dry low or line dry, and iron percale if you want the crisp hotel finish.

Luxury Queen Duvet Covers

A queen duvet cover is the largest piece of fabric on your bed. Worth getting right.

It's what visitors see when they walk in, what your hand brushes when you sit on the edge in the morning, what wraps the duvet that wraps you. The queen size duvet cover doesn't get to hide.

Ours are woven in Portugal, since 1967. Percale for warm sleepers. Sateen for the silky drape. Flannel for cold months. Each queen duvet cover fits 152×203 cm mattresses with the right amount of drape over the sides.

A queen duvet cover set is the cover plus matching pillowcases. Build it your way: solid colour, mixed pillowcases, full set. Your bed, your call.

Other queen size duvet covers are sewn to look right in a campaign photograph. Ours are sewn to last a decade. Luxury queen duvet covers, the kind that earn their keep.
