On the phone, the clock reads 4:57 PM… The sun touches your arm and slowly rises to your face while you write those endless emails on a warm Summer afternoon… In an instant, you close your eyes — and memory carries you away.
In collaboration with Marshmellow, Studio Astolfi designs a beach collection that reflects the courage to tell stories in any environment and in any form.
The beach towels become “Astolfian” objects: they are worn, shared, carried, and borrowed. They are witnesses to lived moments and memories constantly being built.
The collection takes Joana Astolfi's characteristic love of narrative and found-object poetry — cherries, seashells, paper boats, iced drinks — and scatters them across a checkerboard grid that feels simultaneously retro and contemporary.
The border text, cycling through mantras like Work hard, play harder, Pick up broken shells too, and Make memories at sunset, turns each towel into a kind of wearable manifesto for switching off.

The collection arrives in four colourways that each tell a slightly different story.
Together they speak to Marshmellow's fabric-first ethos: the pleasure of texture, the invitation to lie down and do absolutely nothing.
