    How to choose the right percale sheets?

    Percale is the bedding for warm sleepers and crisp-bed lovers. Choose percale sheets if you want a cool, breathable feel and the slightly crinkly hand of a freshly made hotel bed. Match the cuts to your mattress and pillows to build the set.

    If your bedroom runs cold in winter, percale will feel cooler than you'd like by January. Sateen or flannel sheets will serve you better there.

    Are Marshmellow percale sheets organic?

    Our percale cotton sheets are woven from long-staple cotton without harsh chemical finishes, fabric softeners, or coatings in production. We don't carry an organic certification, but the cotton sourcing and finishing are cleaner than the industry average.

    If certified organic percale sheets are a hard requirement for you, look elsewhere. If you want clean, untreated cotton from a transparent supply chain, ours fit.

    What thread count should percale sheets be?

    Between 200 and 400 thread count is the sweet spot for percale. Below that, the weave feels thin; above 400, percale loses breathability and gets harder to launder. Best cotton percale sheets sit in this range, high enough for durability and low enough for breathability.

    Wash warm (30-40°C) with mild detergent. Skip the fabric softener. Tumble dry low or line dry, then iron for the crisp hotel finish.
