    How to choose between midweight and heavyweight bath towels?

    Midweight bath towels are the everyday workhorse: lighter, faster-drying, easier to throw in the wash. Heavyweight bath towels are denser and plusher, the closest thing to a five-star hotel bathroom at home.

    If your bathroom runs warm and you wash often, midweight is fine. If you want the morning ritual to feel like an indulgence, go heavyweight.

    What size bath towels do I actually need?

    Most households need three sizes: face cloths for hand-washing, hand towels at the basin, and bath towels for after the shower. A bath sheet is the upgrade most people don't realise they want. Buy one, and you'll never go back.

    Where are Marshmellow towels made?

    Every Marshmellow towel is woven and finished in Portugal, in the same Lintexport mill we've been running since 1967. The terry heritage is why our towels hold their loft and absorb water properly, even after years of washing.

    How do I keep my bath towels soft and absorbent?

    Wash warm (40°C) with mild detergent. Skip the fabric softener, since it coats the fibres and stops them absorbing water. Tumble dry to keep the loft up, since long line drying alone leaves terry stiff.

    How often should I replace my bath towels?

    A good towel should last five to seven years of daily use. If yours is going thin, losing colour, or refusing to absorb after a wash, it's done.

    Cheap towels last eighteen months. Ours last three to five times longer, which is the maths behind the price difference.

    What makes Marshmellow's luxury bath towels different?

    The terry, the density, and the cotton itself. Most luxury bath towels are sold by brands that don't actually weave terry. We do, in Portugal, since 1967.

    Portuguese mills like ours supply much of the world's premium hospitality industry. The cotton, the terry quality, and the manufacturing standard are the same. We just sell them directly, without the hotel-supply markup.
