HELDER´S FARM STUDIOS
Laurens and Esmee’s story began with a shared dream and a leap of faith. In 2022, after only a short time together, they set out to create a space in Portugal that would become more than just a home. Together, they transformed two old farmhouses into a place where creativity, connection, and the quiet beauty of nature come together. Esmee is a 26-year-old photographer and creative spirit with a deep love for storytelling and aesthetics. After graduating from the Dutch Photo Academy in Amsterdam and years of traveling, she now curates retreats and experiences at the farm, blending her passion for food, gardening, and thoughtful design. Laurens is a 34-year-old writer and director with a background in commercials, music videos, and documentaries. At Helder, he brings his eye for storytelling and his hands-on approach to shaping both the creative projects and the physical space.

In a world that moves too fast, we offer space. Not just physical, but mental, emotional, and creative space. Here, the stars replace the city lights, silence replaces the noise, and nature replaces the rush. You pause.
You watch the ducks dance, find your favorite star, and feel the quiet of a still morning. You step outside to collect fresh eggs, still warm from the nest, and pick sun-ripened vegetables from the glasshouse.
The simple rituals of the land ground you in the present. In this stillness, something shifts. Clarity emerges. We hope guests leave with a sense of peace and with it, the ability to make beautiful decisions in their life onwards.
