FAQs about Bedding

What shades of green do you make?

We make soft, earthy greens chosen to suit real bedrooms in natural light, not gallery whites or showroom photography. The palette runs from a quiet sage to deeper olive and forest tones, all built to coordinate across our bedding range. Check the product page for the current shades in stock; we add new ones seasonally but keep the core range consistent year-round.

Will a green duvet cover fade over time?

A green duvet cover fades when it's washed in chlorine bleach, dried on high heat repeatedly, or made from cheap dyes that don't penetrate the fibres fully. Quality green covers, dyed with reactive dyes on long-staple cotton, hold their colour for years with normal washing. Avoid bleach, wash at 30 to 40 degrees Celsius, and line dry out of direct sun for the longest colour life.

What fabric should a green duvet cover be?

100% cotton is the practical default. Percale gives the cool, crisp, hotel-bed feel; sateen gives a silkier drape with a subtle sheen that brings out the depth of darker greens.

Our greens come in both percale and sateen, so you can choose by texture rather than compromising on colour. Cotton holds dyed colour better than polyester or polyester blends, which fade unevenly.

What size green duvet cover do I need?

Match the cover size to the duvet inside, not directly to the bed. European single duvets are 140x200 cm; double 200x200 cm; king 240x220 cm.

UK sizes follow Europe; US sizes are slightly different (full/queen 234x224 cm; king 264x244 cm). Buy the cover and duvet in matching dimensions; an undersized cover leaves the duvet bunched, an oversized one sags at the corners.

How do I care for a green duvet cover?

Wash a green cover at 30 to 40 degrees Celsius with a mild detergent. Skip bleach (chlorine destroys the colour) and skip fabric softener (it leaves a film that dulls the dye).

Wash inside out for the first few cycles to set the dye. Line dry out of direct sun, or tumble dry on low. The colour stays steady from the first wash, and the cotton softens over the first year before holding its hand for years.

What goes with a green duvet cover?

Soft greens pair naturally with white sheets, natural wood, linen curtains, and warm-toned accents (terracotta, mustard, rose). For a structured look, pair a green cover with crisp white percale sheets and white pillowcases.

For a softer look, mix tonal greens with pale neutrals. Avoid pairing with cool blues unless the green has noticeable blue undertones; the contrast can read as accidental rather than intentional.

Green Duvet Covers, Made in Portugal

Green is the bedroom colour that ages well. Earthy tones, soft sage, deeper olive: shades that read as restful at the end of a long day and don't go out of style with the next interiors trend.

Ours are 100% cotton, woven in percale and sateen, in a palette of greens chosen for real bedrooms in real light. Sized for EU, UK, and US beds. Dyed with reactive dyes on long-staple cotton so the colour penetrates the fibres and holds through years of washing.

The cotton is woven at Lintexport in Portugal, our mill since 1967. The dye process, the finishing, the cut, all done in the same building by the same families. That's why our greens look like our greens, not the same green every other brand puts out.

A €135 cover that lasts five years of weekly washing works out at single-digit cents a night. The cheap alternative fades or thins in eighteen months and ends up costing more across the same span. Quality dyed cotton, properly finished, is the version that keeps its colour past its third birthday.

Made in Portugal, since 1967. Green that stays green.
